After earning her degree in Interior Design, Mel founded LuLa Interiors with a mission to support both fellow designers and homeowners alike. Fueled by a deep passion for collaboration, she brings clarity and creative direction to design professionals across the country—while also helping clients turn their homes into thoughtful, livable, and beautifully tailored spaces.

With over a decade of experience spanning luxury new construction, commercial design, and flooring sales, Mel’s expertise covers projects both big and small.
When she’s not immersed in design, you’ll find her soaking up time with her two kids, Lu and La, or out catching waves with her husband.
DeLaine Forbush

DRAFTSWOMAN
DeLaine joined our team in October 2024, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have her. With a Bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture & Design from the University of Idaho, she brings a thoughtful, creative, and highly collaborative approach to every project. Her background spans both residential and design/build work, and she thrives on supporting other designers as well as our personal clients with precision and care.

DeLaine is our go-to draftswoman and 3D visualization pro—turning concepts into beautifully detailed plans and renderings. Her organization, eye for design, and technical expertise keep our projects moving forward smoothly.

Outside of work, you’ll likely find her reading a good book, enjoying the outdoors, playing with her nephews, or belting out karaoke tunes with a big smile.
